Sensory Season is a two-day immersive retreat designed as a gentle, yet profound reset for your body, mind, and spirit. Nestled on 14 serene acres in the Catskills – just 90 miles from New York City – this experience invites you to return to your senses, your rhythm, and your deepest self.
This is a space for nervous system nourishment, soulful connection, and embodied creativity. Through somatic movement, vocal expression, guided meditation, and ritual, you’ll be supported in releasing tension, softening mental noise, and coming home to presence.
This is not just a retreat – it’s a reclamation.

Justine Pierre is a multidisciplinary artist and somatic movement facilitator from Brooklyn, NY. Her work creates transformative spaces that honor ritual, self-expression, and collective healing. Justine's gentle yet powerful guidance invites you to unlock new possibilities within your body and spirit- and to move through life with greater freedom and compassion.
Aiyana Gabrielle is a Culinary Nutritionist, Clinical Herbalist, and Holistic Chef. Rooted in ancient wisdom from Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she crafts meals that honor the Earth and nurture the soul. Aiyana's work empowers you to reconnect with your inner wisdom through nourishment that sustains both body and spirit, awakening your deepest vitality.
The Small Dome is a beautiful 16 foot geodesic dome nestled into the forest on the far edge of the property. Set up as a living space with a queen size bed and large plush sofa, the Small Dome can accommodate up to 3 people. Dome guests have a private clawfoot bathtub with hot water, and a private picnic table, charcoal grill, fire pit and hammock.
The Trailer is a gorgeous, fully restored 35 foot Spartan Spartanette from 1953. It has an open plan with one full-size bed in the front and two twin beds in the back. There is a cozy banquette dining area, kitchen and private shower with hot water. There is electricity along with Wifi, fans for the summer and electric space heaters for the early spring and fall.
Tiny House 3 is a cozy and bright and built out of rough-hewn local pine and hemlock. It features a sleeping loft with a full-size bed as well as a single day bed, for a total of up to 3 guests. There is a writing nook and a closet. There are electrical outlets and Wifi. Tiny House 3 guests have a private fire pit, charcoal grill, hammock and outhouse.
Tiny House 4 is a unique accommodation, built entirely out of recycled materials. It features a wall of antique windows which look out into the forest. Tiny House 4 has a sleeping loft with a full-size bed as well as a single day bed, for a total of up to 3 guests. There is a writing nook and a closet. Tiny House 3 guests have a private firepit, charcoal grill, hammock and outhouse.
Tiny House 2 is a bright and modern year-round home which features an open plan with a queen size sleeping loft. There is a full kitchen and dining nook along with a full bathroom. There is central heat for the winter, central A/C for the summer and a smart TV. Tiny House 2 guests can enjoy a private picnic table, firepit and charcoal grill.
BYO Tent Camping offers a grounded, nature immersed experience for those who prefer to sleep under the stars. Guests will set up their own tents in the spacious meadow and have full access to the surrounding campgrounds – including outhouses, fire pits, swimming areas, and more. It's a simple, serene way to connect with the land and enjoy the retreat in its most elemental form.
To reserve your spot at An Embodied Return, a $500 USD non-refundable deposit is required and will be applied toward the total amount.

By Bus:
ShortLine buses depart regularly from Manhattan’s Port Authority to Monticello ($30 one way), with taxi service available from Yellow Cab or Sureway Taxi (approx. $25 to the Inn). For a more direct route, two buses per day continue on to Woodridge, where we offer complimentary pick-up.
By Train:
Take NJ Transit from Penn Station to Otisville, NY ($17), transferring at Secaucus Junction. Please ride in the first two cars to exit at Otisville. From there, local taxis are available to complete the journey.
